A Message From Devon Meier
Why I'm Participating in the Hope in Motion 5K
Yes, I’m the Director of Philanthropy at Rose Hill Foundation — but my reason for participating in the Hope in Motion 5K is more than that. It's personal.
I know what it’s like to watch someone you love struggle with serious mental illness. I know the helplessness, the worry, and the overwhelming question: Where do we go from here? I’ve lived it. My family's lived it. I’ve felt the fear and isolation that can come with not knowing who to talk to or where to go.
That’s why I believe so strongly in Rose Hill Center.
Rose Hill is a place of hope — for individuals facing mental illness and for the families who love them. It’s a place of real, meaningful treatment and support. A place where people begin to heal and grow.
Mental illness is just that — an illness. It affects so many of us, and it deserves compassion, care, and conversation. The more we talk about it, the more we can fight the stigma and open the door to healing.
I'm walking (if you know me, you know I don't run) to raise awareness and funds for this incredible organization. I hope you’ll support me with a donation, share my story, or even join me on the course. Every step we take together moves us closer to a world where no one has to face mental illness alone.
